How to invite users to the Professional app

 

 

This guide will walk you through the process of inviting a new user to the Professional app and managing their access level.

1. User Roles.

A user is a floating entity, not tied specifically to one organization.  This allows inviting users to access multiple environments in various user roles and permissions.

There are 4 permission levels.

  • Admin user has full access to the assigned entity and sub-entities.
  • The technical service user has access to service and maintenance features.
  • A viewer user has only control options at the entity level he was assigned to and the sub-entities.
  • Limited user has no access to the entity

A user is a ‘floating’ entity, not tied specifically to one organization. 
This allows inviting users to access multiple environments for different purposes such as performing actions or servicing the system.

2. Click "User Management"

Access the user management section by clicking on the site management option in the left pane.

3. Click "Invite User"

Click on "Invite User" to Initiate the user invitation process.

4. Enter the user email

Enter the email address of the user to be invited.

5. Time-limited access

If time-limited access is required, check the invitation expires checkbox and select an expiry date for the access to remain valid.

Set the required permission level for each of the sites. For granting access to the professional app, check the pro checkbox on the right of the entity.

7. Sending an invitation

Once all of the required access permissions were set, Click on send an invite to submit the invitation to the user.

8. Activating the Invitation

To activate the access, the user will need to click the activation link in the email he received.

9. New user registration

If the user is not a registered user a registration form will show up and the user will be required to fill in the details and click on Submit to create the user

10. ULA acceptance

New users will be presented with the ULA at first login. Click on Accept to accept the terms and conditions.

11. Validation

After the user has logged in, he will see only the sites he was granted access to. In this demo, the user was assigned professional app access only to the demo cas site
