Section 2: Overview

The CoolAutomation 2026 Crestron SIMPL+ Driver Suite provides direct PRM ASCII control of CoolAutomation HVAC gateways from Crestron SIMPL programs.

Supported devices:

• CoolMaster / CoolMaster Pro
• CoolMasterNet
• CooLinkHub
• CooLinkBridge
• CoolMaster Edge

• CoolPlug

Section 4: Basic Wiring

Use one CoolAutomation 2026 Manager module per CoolAutomation gateway.

For TCP/IP

Use a standard Crestron TCP/IP Client connected to port 10102.

For RS-232

Set Manager Transport_Mode to RS-232 and wire serial TX/RX directly to Manager TX$ / RX$.

Section 5: CoolMaster Edge Setup

CoolMaster Edge requires the ASCII server to be enabled before TCP port 10102 will accept connections.

Run this command once from a terminal or service tool:

set aserver enable 1

This cannot be performed automatically by the Crestron driver because the Manager module cannot connect until the ASCII server is already enabled.

Section 6: Child Modules

Use child modules as needed:

• Add one CoolAutomation 2026 Zone per HVAC indoor unit UID.
• Add one CoolAutomation 2026 Sensor per GS-SMT-IO point UID.
• Add one CoolAutomation 2026 HOA Zone per GS-SMT-HOA heating zone UID.
• Use CoolAutomation 2026 CoolPlug Helper only for CoolPlug commissioning tasks.

Production patch release. No pin/interface changes.

Fixed:

• Zone manager-bus parser now bounds Mid() string lengths when parsing STATE, NAME, and ZONEERR messages.
• Prevents Zone string-range faults from malformed or shorter-than-expected Manager bus messages.
