Release Summary

This release focuses on Modbus support. This opens a wide door for any compliant Modbus device to be added into our platform - energy meters, pumps, lighting, fan coils, packaged units, and more - integrating with HA and BMS systems and allowing customers to control and monitor their Modbus devices through our platform. 

 

Modbus Devices Support

Availability: Pro Web 

You can now integrate any Modbus devices directly to the EDGE device and to the Professional App. 

Under Site Management > Modbus Mapping. Once added and mapped, you can continuously monitor all its data points, control its controllable points and apply interlocks with other systems on the Pro App..

Edge Device - Allow local Firmware Update

Edge firmware can now be updated from the local config app by loading the FW image to your computer and uploading it to the device through the config app.

NOTE: Contact your CoolAutomation Support contact for verifying you have the right version

 

BACnet Devices - A New Discovery Flow

Availability: Pro Web 

We have separated between management of mapped BACnet devices and the process of new BACnet devices discovery. This was made to simplify navigation when having condensed BACnet lines or sites. 

 

 

Configure your EDGE device remotely

Accessing your Edge device configuration is now available through the Site Configuration screen, providing you the ability to configure line settings, network configuration and have direct terminal access.

Click the settings icon and the EDGE config screen will open on a new browser tab (reffer to EDGE user manual on how to configure edge device)

BACnet Devices -  Default STEP Value 

When mapping BACnet devices, if analog-value object step was not received from the device (Increase/Decrease temp), a default STEP is set to ‘1’

Make sure to set it right for your device and related parameters

 

PPD – Import/Export Tenant Lists  

Availability: Pro Web 

You can now bulk import or export your tenant lists in one step instead of adding them one by one.

Simply export the list of units on your site, apply the tenant name to each unit and import the full tenant list into the configuration screen. Simplify the onboarding of a PPD site.

 

 

 

Floor Plan View - map also Bacnet units  

Availability: Pro Web 

BACnet units now show up in your Floor Plan. You can see it’s connection state (connected/ disconnected), control ON/OFF, Mode, Setpoints and temperature

 

Rename "Site Management" sub menu on left navigation menu to “Site Configuration”

Availability: Pro Web

The left sub menu item "Site Management" is now called "Site Configuration" to avoid confusion with the higher level Site Management label
