In-App Push Notifications for Alerts
Availability: Pro Mobile
The infrastructure for sending mobile push notifications for alerts is now in place. We’re currently publishing the updated apps to the App Store and Google Play, and we’ll send another update once push notifications are available for use.
To Setup:
- Update the Pro app to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
- Log in to the mobile app and allow notifications when prompted after your first login. This registers your phone for notifications.
- In Professional, open the notification group and tick the In-app box for each person who should receive mobile notifications
Device Registration from the Professional Mobile App
Availability: Pro Mobile
You can now register a new device directly from the Professional mobile app, without getting a Professional user account in advance. If the device you scan has a Pro subscription attached to it (by the SN) you will be able to register a new user and start using the device.
If no license is attached, the registration will fail and you will have to contact coolAutomation to subscribe to Pro (purchase a license).
Tap Register Now on the login screen, enter the device's serial number and PIN (or scan its QR code), then continue as a new or existing user.
If the scanned device has an attached subscription package, you will be walked through creating a new user account. If no license, the registration will fail.
Support Scheduling for Modbus Devices
Availability: Pro Web, Control Mobile
You can now set schedule controls on mapped Modbus units. Set up weekly or calendar-based schedules to trigger actions (e.g. turn units on/off, set setpoint, turn pump on off, etc.) on any Modbus writable point. You can also set multiple actions on the same schedule.
Simply click the schedule icon and set the schedule.
No limit to the number of schedules you can set.
An important benefit is that once schedules are set and sync to the device, in the cloud or locally on the local control, it will be stored and triggered locally on the Edge device regardless if the internet is connected or not.
Grouping BACnet and Modbus mapped Devices
Availability: Pro Web, Control Mobile
You can now add BACnet and Modbus units to groups. Units that are mapped to universal control points, will take part in group-level mapped actions such as on/off, setpoint, mode, fan speed, as well as group schedules and timers.
When a unit is missing a mapping that the schedule needs, the app will tell you which settings won't apply to it.
NOTE: In case BACnet/Modbus device is not mapped to universal points it will only be shown inside the group list on control UI but will not be part of the group level actions.
Import and Export Modbus Device Maps
Availability: Pro Web
You can now set up a Modbus device by importing its full register map from an Excel (.xlsx) file, instead of entering everything manually. Download the sample template from the Modbus device screen, fill in the device details and functional units, and upload it
